Letters from Exile

I'm stuck in Hellmouth, Louisiana for another month, except this time without internet access. The good news is that I get to leave sometimes (like today). So I'm catching up on email, sleep, and house stuff. The other good news is that after this month, it will be AT LEAST 13 months until I have to take call again.

    Take call?
Sounds like you need to take another beer from the fridge.

    No, no Andy...

Take Call is another name for Homeless, La. It is from the Greek: TAKE meaning "sucks the life right out of you and leaves you a shell of your former self" and Call meaning "with nobs on it".

    Smart fellers, them Greeks.

oh, it's so clear to me now.

Well, it's my understanding that the best part of La. is the highway leading out.

Well, the elected officials are kind of neat, in a "hire the handicapped, they're fun to watch" sort of way.

Really, the best part of Luzianne is the drive-thru daiquiri shops, which the Hellmouth is sadly lacking...
