Discussion Question

This week's DQ comes late...Things are crazy busy at work.  Expect delays until next year or so.  Which brings us to:

When you're really busy and have to cut out extraneous leisure activities, what's the one thing you WON'T give up?

I've found that as I get busier, seasonal stuff gets put on the back burner, like cutting grass in the summer or cleaning out the gutters in fall.
Hobbies should be clung to when you get a chance because that's what keeps you sane when life gets hectic.
Stealing away time to do woodworking, reading or watching a peppy movie to cheer you up like Terms of Endearment (Am I the only person that smiled at the ending?)can really help. It's like deciding to take the day off and go fishing, but only for an hour or so.

    Koocoobird had hobby...

Beer Drinking, while scratching my sweaty old satchel and excercising my sailor vocabulary. I love to drink beer, scratch and cuss.

I hear you. The booze seems to be my relaxation of last resort. It unwinds me after a hectic day, doesn't require a whole lot of extra effort, and, unlike people, is never too busy to spend time with me.

    Ahh, alcohol. Sweet, sweet, alcohol.
