It seems to me that we've seen a real upswing in the amount of posting on this little blog circle lately. Anybody have any cogent ideas why?

I don't know about cogent ideas since my thoughts are random and scattered to say the least. I think the reason that activity has been up is because you've provided an invitation to a forum within a forum, just a little behind the scenes. Since the blog does not allow anonymous comments casual passers by just read our B. S. and scratch their lobotomy scars while they move on laughing.
