Discussion Question: Instant Vacation
Instant Vacation, Calgon Moment, Retreat, Moment of Zen, Bourbon and a Beer Back...call it what you will. When you just have to get away for a second and collect yourself, what do you do?

At work: I chart. Nothing like the mundanity of charting to let you simmer down
At home: Play with the dog, knit, cross-stitch, as long as those aren't why I'm angry/in trouble. When it gets really bad, I run.

I watch Cheers. The guy sings it right at the beginning: "Takin' a break from all your worries..."

music...turn on the ipod, tune out everything else, maybe sit outside on a nice day. But that's my answer, music, it fixes everything.

Actually, I sit on the throne and I read. I have a bathroom book about the american revolution that is very interesting. And I get more enjoyment out of leaving my phone on the desk and hearing it ring from a distance than I do by turning it off for a while.
If you ever need a place:
Third floor bathroom of Ekstrom Library. Plenty of light, few people entering.
I realize that's probably more info than you wanted, but hey- Andy's andy.

Huh. I really figured KAI's entry would be one word:
"Bourbon".
